I'm a steeler fan and I watched sportscenter and everyone Voted to see Plummer Benched after one bad game. He didn't start out great last year and got you a 13 - 3 record now the guy has a bad game and the state turns on him. How Pathetic. Don't they realize he is the reason Jay Cutler will be good. Stop bashing the guy, it's not like Denver has the worlds greatest offence.

I guess thats why I'm a Steeler Fan.

I guess it's because Plummer has a history of making mistakes. Last year was an exception, he played pretty well. Plus I think Cutler is being overhyped. Denver fans think he'll be the next John Elway just because he looked good in preseason. I agree that it is ridiculous to call for Plummer to be benched after one game. Same goes for Bledsoe in Dallas. It's one game. By that standard, Culpepper should be benched after last week. But in today's NFL, everyone wants results and they want it NOW.

I am a 40+ year Denver a fan. Not so sure it's Denver fans that are turning on Plummer...seems to be more of a media thing. You're right it was one bad game and even with that they had a chance to win the game at the end. Plummer started out the same last year and recovered very well (he was a Pro Bowl pick). Since Plummer has come to Denver they have a 34-12 record....pretty damn good actually...so take the QB controversy with a grain of salt. Denver fans will never be completely happy with their QB because they will never be Elway. I do like Cutler though, I think he will be a good one BUT he is not ready to be the starter in Denver. Maybe next year or even the year after before he is to that point.

Problem is, it's not just One game. He has never been consistent.
He has never been a very accurate passer.
Under pressure he makes HUGE mistakes.
He doesn't throw well on the run.

In order for a Quarterback to be deemed good in this league, they need signs of consistency.
Jake never led Denver to the 13-3, he was the reason they didn't go 14-2.
Jake has been consistently bad since he entered the NFL.

Last year, his team carried him.

I don't think Jay Cutler is overhyped either, if you watched that kid play at Vandy, he showed excellent signs of a powerful NFL Quarterback. His poise was amazing, he didn't generally throw the ball in to the hands of the other team, unlike Jake the Fake.

I think Vince Young might be overhyped, but Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler are both NFL Style Quarterbacks and will have great careers.

Yes, they're loyal. But to the team, not the player. A lot of people haven't liked the Broncos QB since Elway left. It's just the nature of all fans.

Bronco fans are very loyal, one of the most loyal in the league and because the franchise has had a history of having a great qb so they are quick to judge their qb.
