What type of pastor counsels a couple who are 17 and 18 yrs old (with a new baby) once and then marries them?
Is this ethical? how? I ask because that what my husband of 13 years and I did and this marriage cant possibly have God's seal of approval. I didn't know any better then and our parents wern't part of our lives not actively anyway. (note we didnt marry until he turned 18)

One session is usually all that's required. Different religions have different requirements. Sometimes you have counseling for a specific length of time; sometimes you don't have to meet at all.

Why are you worried about what the pastor did. It was 13 years ago. If there are problems in your marriage, it is not the pastor's fault. You two may have just grown apart or anything since then.
