Im 24 yrs old, I have been married for 3 years and me and my husband are TTC. we have been having sex every other day since august 18. Im about 8 days late. i had a little cramping like i was going to get my period about three days ago and it lasted for two days and today the cramping stopped. i took a pregnancy test on sept 6 and it was negative and i went to the doctor o the 7th and it was still negative. There is still no sign that my period is coming. has anyone experience this and was pregnant?

I was just told today that it would take about two weeks for a pregnancy test to be able to detect the pregnancy! Wait about two weeks and test again!!!

i had cramping.i have pcos and was told id have alot of difficulty getting pregnant.i was on the pill but got really sick and was on antibiotics.i knew antibiotics interfere with the pill but having been told i have basically no chance of having kids naturally i didn't think too much about contraception.my period has never been regular but after about 2 weeks of cramping i went to the shops and bought a pregnancy test and a packet of tampons and told my fiance i have a feeling I'm going to need one of the two.i did the pregnancy test and it came back positive.went to the docs and it was confirmed.apparently the cramps are from your uterus stretching to get ready for whats about to happen to your body.they say a test can come back negative if its too early.in real peoples terms i was 3-4 weeks pregnant.in doctors terms i was only a week or 2.I'm sure ull know soon enough...

Yes, and I was. You could be pregnant and still test negative. Did your doc order a quantitative BHCG? This test for pregnancy is probably more accurate than a urine pregnancy or a serum pregnancy test. Ask your doc. if this is what he ordered, and if he didn't, and if you still haven't had a period, ask if he will order one for you. Some women experience slight cramping and even a bit of spotting when an embryo (fertilized egg) embeds itself in the lining of the uterus. Good luck, hope this is the case for you. I've worked in GYN/OB for 8 years and have seen this happen for many women.

Go to the doctor and get a pap smear..
Std's can cause discrepancies in periods and it also causes cramping...

I've experienced this and it was an infection, sister inlaw did it was fibroid, a friend did and she was already five months pregnant . Anxeity or other health concern could delay your period.Try using the ovulation calculator. There's one in www.ivillage.com.Relax Babe, its going to happen. Best of luck!
