I just wanted to add that anyone telling me that I need to be listening to something else.... gets a no comment. If I wanted to listen to beyonce, ciara etc then I would. I didn't ask for suggestions of this kind. I asked for suggestions that would be in my vein. Thank you to all who have answered appropriately! I've gotten a lot of help actually!

That's a great list as it is - some suggestions off the top of my head: The Dears, Hawksley Workman, Tom Waits, Jorane, Malajube, Muse, Pierre Lapointe, and on a somewhat different note - Dobacaracol. (Sorry, some of those are bilingual; several years of living in Montreal will do that to you...)

Try another speed or genre. I like experimental and progressive music because its always different.
The Mars Volta
Circa Survive
Coheed and Cambria
Tool
Mr.Bungle

or stuff like:
Electric 6
The Faint
Scissor Sisters
Ima Robot
Cake

If that is all too fast try
Straylight Run
A Perfect Circle

When I'm in the mood for something new I go to www.allmusic.com. They have reviews and bios for almost every artist under the sun, and it's all cross-referenced by style, genre, themes, moods, and similar artists. There's a lot of "if you like this, you might also enjoy..." links. Check it out.
