First off....12 monkeys is one that made me think a lot as well, but it is more than 2 yrs old.
I would have to say, "The Butter Fly Effect" for a more current movies. I have always been fascinated with the idea of time travel.

Light it up
It's about a highschool in the ghetto and the students end up taking the school cop hostage. It's a very well done movie.
I also love Twelve Monkeys-awesome story!

12 monkeys is more than 2 years old.
There are a lot of good new movies but none of them made me think.
I liked Powder and Phenomenon because they both explore the possibilities of human potential.

I watched Silence of The Lambs for my third time and it bothers me each time but the story was excellent and the acting as well.
