Seriously, they have ALL THE CARDS, and yet they are letting their opponents bluff their way right into the majority seats.

I personally think the DNC needs a better spokesman than Mr. Dean.

I agree. If they had someone with a backbone, they could expose the Republicans for the con artists they really are and take back the congress.

Because the democrats have no concrete plan of action. The only thing they know how to do is bash Bush and treat the American public as though they are stupid and only the democrats can "help" them.

If they were more decisive and let the American people in on how voting for them would be better for America, then maybe you would see a change. It seems the kooky fringe left have taken over your party. I personally liked the democrat party of old...Truman...JFK..at least they had courage and conviction.

I tend to agree with the first point, but we still have 10 weeks or so to go.

I think Dean has more cojones than most of the Democratic Candidates and more than Schumer who is in charge of the Senate Campaigns and whoever is the head of the house campaigns. When I have seen Dean speak, he did a pretty good job...but certainly not great. I am not sure who would do a better job than Dean.

Dean hardly a nut or way out on the left. If you choose to base your opinions and statements about him based on that distorted repetition of the "scream" or characterizations of him by republican propagandists, you haven't ever really listened to him or examined his positions-- you're just regurgitating right wing BS.

The link below shows the democratic agenda for 2006 -- I have to admit is on the bland side, but is certainly not 'Nothing" or a far left wing screed that some people would lead you to believe it is.

Political correctness has taken their spines away and their reasoning abilities
Their only platform is negative and never any positive outlook
It must be terrible to only see half empty glasses
Too much hate for anything different from their closed minds
I hate defeatacrats/demoncraps and I would be better than Howard the Coward Dean

Thank you for your wise comments. I have emailed the DNC several times as well as my two senators from New York State. Do you know how many responses I received? ONE, from Hillary, ignoring my concerns, as she just out and out asked for a contribution! I do not believe the democrats care or represent us any more than the republicans do. It is just a different type of neglect. I don't think the dems can blow it, unless "something" happens...hmmm, gas prices are dropping, hmmm....wonder if we'll bag the "tall one" out of hiding or some other October surprise, or if we'll get some new "terror alert,"...oh RFK, we need you now!!!!!

The DNC lacks a platform.

All that the Democrats have in common is they are not republican.

Where the Redpublicans have many things that bind them to common cause.

The $money$ Tax break$ Corporate welfare check$
Un Constitutional activitie$ White supremacy$
Coup de-ata$ Distruction of the middlecla$$

Go big Red Go

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Show us your vision, a plan that we can support, and we'll vote for you. Instead of telling us every day how much Bush sucks, how he lied, how we're losing our freedoms, blah blah blah ad nauseum, Democrats oughta tell us what they plan to do about it. After all, if you're not going to fix it, why should we vote for you?
