The film is a Christian film being put out by Sony Pictures. We have seen that "The Passion of the Christ" was widely accepted by the American public, but it did not attempt to claim a doctrine. We also know that films such as Farenheit 911 did well in spite of the fact that they claimed a very bold and specific point of view. That view was still only political. This one would be promoting a view that is religious. We have movies that promote witchcraft, evolution, and spiritual awareness, but there is some controversy over whether this film will succeed. Sony is only giving it one week in the theatre to prove itself, but they are giving it that week.

Do you think the American public will embrace a film that returns to a heritage of America that has been left behind? Why or why not?

Note: From what I understand, this is a true story.

80% of the US public claims to believe in GOD,most of them Christians, yet some of the biggest industries in America are Porn,Alcohol, and Illicit drugs. And except in the evangelical end of the spectrum church attendance is actually waning.

If Christians choose to make this movie a success it will be,their are enough of them left to make a film succeed, the reason that Hollywood does not do it more often is that realistically only 25-30 percent of the population really take their faith into account when choosing movies, most people who believe in God can pull the stick out of their butt long enough to watch Saw or something,so these movies do well compared to cost of production and are worth making. But they are not going to chunk down 100 million to make a christian movie only to watch the Christians stay at home and pray.

In fact has that movie about David come out yet? And if so how much of a bomb was it or will it be to prove my point? Their aren't more"Christian" movies because Christians don't take their money to the marketplace. The passion was an anomaly. What I want to know is when does Saw 3 come out?

The American Pubic needs to be more open minded and less closed in any movie . They need to be more compassionate and less judge mental. If it is a true story then that is what it is , If it is part fiction then that is what it is. watching and looking or disliking is there option but no way should a movie be put down because it wasn't to their liking. Americas Heritage is what it is and it is real.

It will flop, unless the Christian community comes out in huge numbers. It's like the Spear movie that came out recently that promoted the Christian point of view. That bombed.

Actually, I just saw the trailer on IMDB and it looks like it might be a pretty good movie, I'll go see it when it comes out.
