That liberating Afghanistan from Taliban rule, was a good thing?

Yes. The Taliban were political gangsters and theological thugs who denied the Afghan nation a sense of self worth. They imposed their will on the people and prevented women from working. Worse than that they stopped the education of females. What are they afraid of?
Your question really says it all. It wasn't Taliban governance it was Taliban rule, designed not to improve the lives of the Afghan people, but to promote a fundamentalist ideology.

Yes, I think everyone (except the Taliban and al-Qaeda) can agree with that. HOWEVER, I'm not sure I feel the same way about Saddam and Iraq. Iraq has become a LOT more chaotic since his fall (which he deserved).

Liberating the entire Middle East from Western influence would be the best thing.

But our oil corporations and friendly neighborhood republicans would not embrace this idea. Lives for oil and profits.
