When I was in middle school, I dialed it from a payphone and hung up when they answered. they traced the call to my school, and had an officer come out to scare the poo out of me. Do you have any stories like or better? I would love to hear them.

So I was about 9 and went to daycare with a woman who had a home daycare business. We had a phone we always used to pretend to call each other on and one day she had actually hooked it up. Me and one of my close friends were pretending the house was on fire (oops..) and I told them the address and everything, thinking it was my friend talking instead of a 911 operator. Minutes later, a fire truck was outside of her house.
Boy, was I in trouble (hehe) ! :]

No I never called 911 because even as a little kid I knew better than to tie up the Emergency lines with pranks. The worst I ever did was call people up and ask them to check if their fridge was running and when they came back to the phone to say -yeah-then I told them to go catch it then. Corny but true.

Yes and when I hung up they called back... so my mom told them to come get me to scare me and they did... You can bet I never called them again as a prank

No, I was too afraid of my dad to do that so I do it now as an adult...It really drives the cops insane, you should hear them curse me out!

i used to walk the streets looking for fire alarms to pull,on the phone poles and i would pull them in school as well,i always got caught though

I didn't but my friends grandson got in trouble for calling he said help my mom has fallen and can't get up please send a tow truck. Everyone but his mom though it was funny.
