Equal to each other, but that isn't saying much. Forty years ago I visited the Middle East and noticed that women walked ten paces behind the men. Last year I was there and noticed that women walk ten paces in front of the men. Wondering why such a reversal of position had occurred, I asked an Arab acquaintance what had happened to change this and he said, "Land mines".

Not even remotely equal. Equal to maybe a dog.
They are subservient, seen and not heard, not allowed to have jobs in some countries. It has changed in some countries. I can't even imagine what it would be like for a woman over there. They treat animals better than women over there. It incredibly sad.

it depends on what part of the mid east you go to.if you go to Lebanon or Syria they are considered equal.but if you go to Saudi Arabia its a bit different there.

Women have it made where ever you go. They got all the money and the looks.
I think we should put a bounty on them if it wern't for them being so stinking gorgeous....but then the World would stop spinning.

No, they are thought of like annoying bugs. Men consider them annoying and want them to go away so they make them cover their bodies and stay home all the time.
