Are they done? I mean in terms of World Series hopes, they don't have the best record anymore (Yankees) and they are 3-7 in their last 10 and the Twins are only 1.5 back of them in the DIVISION!!!
Also, will they make the playoffs or are they done in that sense too?

hey are done inexperienced in big games.. if they crumble in september then they crumble in october.... unless they are like the white sox last year when they crumbled down the stretch and barely hung on from the indians then won a ring.. never saw that before... the yankees are gonna blast every team out of the game... alot of 11-8 wins but thats ok with me cause the yankees are baseball and the rest of the league plays baseball... where is that weasel georgie porgie puddin pie and that other weasel nugster... are you still hiding nugster? act like a man when they lose losers and you might get a little respect from us yankee boys.. until then wait till the end of the year and bandwagon a world series winner.. who knows maybe you will be a yankee fan at the end of all this in november?

few things.
First of all the Mets have had the best record in baseball for about 2 weeks now. Detroit had the best record in the AL untill 3 days ago when the yankees overtook them.
World Series hopes? That all depends on them making the playoffs. IF they do, they have as good a shot as anyone else. Though yyou have to be concerned about their pitching staff. Kenny Rogers has been great this year, but his posts eason experiences have been horrible. Verlander, a prime rookie of the year candidate, has no experience in post season where the pressure is high. I dont think theyll win the world series, sorry.
As for the playoffs, well i think the Twins will win the division but the tigers will get the wild card. They would then play the yankees, so be carefull.
Im a Mets fan but i think the yankees are gonna tak the WS this year in a subway series.

I think they can still win enough games to win the wild card, if not the division. Of course, if they are the wild card, they'll be beat by the Yankees in the first round, so no, don't expect Detroit in the World Series this year.

they are the complete opposite of what they were earlier this season and i dont think they will even make it to the playoffs. the Twins will win the division and the White Sox will probably win the Wild Card. the have to get back to playing baseball and winning some games or else their playoff dreams will vanish.

The Tigers are fine.
They are still in first place, and thier magic number is 16.
No big deal.
As far as having the best record in baseball, the yankees or mets can have it all they want.
If The Tigers dont win the division, they make the wild card.

Like your question says Tigers?????? Yeah. That's what the rest of the baseball world is thinking. Where are they now?
They're not going to make the playoffs. Jim Leyland coached his tail off but it's all fading quick.

The tiger might for sure win. because of the fact they are better, better and extra aggressive. yet lions are extra concept to be better because of the fact they hunt in communities, at the same time as a tiger is a lone hunter. i opt for tiger.

They may hang on, but they'll be looking over their shoulder at the Twins for a couple more games, and they still need to watch Chicago. Go Twins!!!

THATS RIGHT! ALL YOU TIGER FANS (THERE WERE 1000 OF YOU IN JULY AND JUNE) THE YANKEES ARE THE BEST TEAM IN THE AL, HOWS IT FEEL TIGER FANS. YOU LIKING IT GEORGIE PORGIE? And to answer your question, they weren't really a world series team in the past since they just didnt match well against other teams, like the yankees.
