If you are a hard worker, and you know you can do it, go for it. If you are having 2nd thoughts, maybe you should reconsider. Did you make less than a "B" in algebra 1? If you did, you may be taking on too much. On the other hand, it would be great if you sailed into 10th with algebra 2 already down!

As a high school math teacher who also teaches some courses at the local university, I rarely suggest students to double up. If you are taking geometry in the 9th grade, take Algebra II in the 10th grade, Trigonometry in the 11th and Pre-calculus or Calculus as a senior. If you are planning on going to college, most likely you will have to take a placement test. I have seen some of my brightest students in high school double up and then take no math their senior year, then they are out of practice and do poorly on the placement test and end up taking classes they have already had in high school as freshmen in college. Also, there are things you learn in Geometry that you will need in Algebra II.

Well it would really help your GPA... BUT if you're not really that good in math, well you should just stick with one math course. (Nevermind, if youre taking honor classes, YOU MUST be good at it) In that case, i think you should just stick with one math course... TAKE IT EASY OK ...!!

By all means! (I hope you've had algebra 1, though.)
