I see there is a coupon for an item in a chain store. The big letter says this item is for 5.00 bucks. ( NO word "off" ).
Then the fine print say cashier will less 5.00. ( No word "off")
The item is $30 at regular price.
Is there a case for false advertisement ?
Must the vendor honor the 5 bucks for the item. Or they can get away for the confusion ?

what you can do is not buy the item. if you feel the ad is misleading then boycott the store. it works, ive boycotted wal-mart for years and they have been reduced to a struggling tiny operation by me, single-handedly.

Because thre is conflicting information on the coupon they will probably get away with it.

You could try buying the item and then ask to speak to the manager when they say no.

This is proof positive that people need to proof read...

They can get away with it. It is usually instore policy that determines what they will do about advertising errors. The errors would have to be blatantly fraudulant for outside autorities to get involved. But any reputable business would either give you the product as advertised or apologize profusely and give you some type of discount for your inconvenience.

"Then the fine print say cashier will less 5.00."

This is it. The cashier will less the amount $5. Nothing wrong with this...
