The only other person to die and effect me this way has been my dad. I don't know Steve. I've never met the man and yet my heart senses a great loss somehow. I really don't understand it AT ALL. Can someone help me to figure out what is going on?

You are projecting an image onto him based upon your feelings that he was a good human being. In this case you were right.
Many people are affected by the death of a person that they never knew. I was deeply saddened to hear of his death.
What kind of a person affects you says alot about the person you are, or want to be. Steve Irwin was a great person, he did lots to help animals, the environment, wildlife, zoos, and to educate people. He loved his job and was very passionate about it. He was a devoted father and husband.
Most of the idiots that are saying bad things about him were affected by the deaths of Tupoc and Biggy Smalls, Ignorant racist, misogynistic, drug dealing/using, violent criminals willing to reap profit on the glorifying(and thus helping to continue) gang violence and the murdering of young people.
The only thing that bothered me about their deaths is that they didn't take a million of their wanna-be's with em.

I'd have to agree, this is the first celebrity death that has affected me. A lot of people were greatly affected by Princess Diana's death, but I really didn't pay her any attention, so I was unaffected. But Steve Irwin was a part of my household many times. He taught my daughter to love reptiles and nature. I view his educational efforts as a personal gift, not everyone can have such an effect on children, especially mine. I was deeply shocked at the loss, and will miss Steve Irwin tremendously.

He came across basically as a good man, a humble man, who everyone could identify with and admire as doing good work without avarice, deceit or any political or religious agenda.

His loss is felt all the more because he was virtually one of a kind, and his passing leaves a real void - and seems to have been particularly unjust in the overall scheme of things.

particular, Steve Irwin's death did influence me. He became so packed with life and whilst he talked he might get me pepped up and excited relating to the animals and helped me be extra involved in them. I felt that Steve became an truthful guy or woman and not in straightforward terms somebody on television attempting to influence people to easily be a "celebrity". there have been different celebrities that have affected me, particular. whilst John Kennedy Jr. and Princess Diane died around an identical time, that incredibly have been given to me. It became all certainly one of those waste. It became so undesirable that John Kennedy Jr. died incredibly considering the fact that his father became murdered at certainly one of those youthful age and had certainly one of those promising Presidency beforehand of him for honestly anybody voters. i became overwhelmed and in total ask your self whilst the information got here around the audio gadget that President Kennedy became lifeless. One guy or woman at right here additionally reported John Belushi, I bear in mind that, too. He became so great interior the action picture "Animal abode" and became so gifted on Saturday evening stay. He became so promising. It became a real ask your self for him to die at certainly one of those very youthful age. i could desire to flow on and on yet I had extra useful stop as that's already too long.

Same reaction for many of us. "I don't even know the guy! Why do I care so much?!" Just goes to show how having an unrestrained passion for what you do can make you very likeable. ...and it doesn't really matter WHAT you do, so long as you show your enthusiam, and don't come across as a blowhard. His personality was right there for us to see, so we really felt we got to know him, more than most on TV who keep themselves in check.
