i wash my face with neutrogena extra gentle cleanser. I pat my face dry with a towel. i look in the mirror and my face doesn't have a shine to it. when i look up though and turn my face from side to side, i can see a shine? does anyone know why this is?

Maybe it is the light reflecting off your face at that angle.

when you wask your face you wash oil that your body produces away.... and you might have dry skin cause some ppl have excessive oil in certin spots. try using a toner....that should help with the shine issue

well you might have some dry spots on your face. you'll need to moisturize your face daily to keep your skin tone even.
