Yea its pretty annoying because ppl are stuck on the notion that to be a great qb u have to stick there in the pocket and complete passes. To the guy a few spots above me.. a qb's job is not to complete as many passes as possible its there job to give there team the best chance to win and he clearly does dat when u look at his track record. Combined passing and rushing he gets about 20+ tds a year, most ints he had in a year were 12 i believe, and most important of all he helps da falcons win. Do u honestly think Atlanta would be the leagues best in rushing the ball with Matt Schaub. A reason why Warrick Dunn has enjoyed the success he has had is because Vick makes teams call qb spys on the outside instead of stuffing the middle where Dunn thrives. That being said U cant say he top 3 or top 5 in the league but Ill gladly take Vick over a Drew Brees,Jake Plummer, or Marc Bulger neday.

As far as producing statistics Micheal Vick sucks in comparison to most quarterbacks. As far as leading his team he better than most(when healthy). Despite the fact that hes injury prone he still is only 1 playoff win behind who some think is the greats qb ever Peyton Manning. Vick's playoff record is 2-2, while Manning's record is 3-6. Not to mention Peyton's supporting cast has always been better than Vick's supporting cast. So if you want stats then Micheal Vick does suck, if you want a qb who gives a team with mundane receivers a legitimate chance to win then he doesn't suck.

He sucks. The only reason the Falcons are any good is Warrick Dunn and T.J. Duckett...and now their dline. Vick just screws everything up. They'd be much better off with Schaub, he actually seems to be capable at, y'know, quarterback stuff? Michael Vick couldn't read a pop warner defense!

I wouldn't say he sucks. I think most people anticipated a lot more from him. Like you said, he is still inconsistent and that his passing accuracy hasn't gotten over the hump.
No question that he has talent.
What worries me about Vick is that he is one hit away from being done. How is that different than any other player in the NFL? well Vick has to rely on his scrambling ability therefore being subject to more hits than your avg. QB....
Again, I don't think he sucks, just hasn't developed into the next (top) tier yet..........

doesn't suck but as you pointed out he is very unreliable and streaky. all good QB's have some sort of consistency and vick lacks that. he's the best all around threat in a QB but his line, RB's etc all play a factor in this as well. were he on New Englands team, no doubt he'd be raking in superbowl rings. Atlanta has talent but seems they're always struggling to connect. I think vick takes it upon himself to do everythnig and that's what usually gets him into trouble

Until he is able to have more than one dimension to his game he will be subpar compared to what he could be. He needs to work on his mechanics for throwing, yeah he has some good passing games but he is known as a running QB. It all doesnt fall on his shoulders though for the past few seasons he hasnt had a #1 WR, but he needs to complete his game or he will go down in history as nothing but a RB that threw the ball sometimes.

People dont say he sucks. They say he isnt a good quarterback, which is partially true. He is only good at throwing the ball, but he is a real weapon when he is moving around, and he can change the way the game is. I think he is an good player, and a great asset for a team.

i think that i agree with you.
i have always said that he is not a good throwing qb but he gets the job done. if the coaching staff would let him play the game the way he is comfortable, the falcons would be a better team. if they wanted a pocket passer, they should have drafted one. just let him play the way he plays and the falcons would be a super bowl contender. passing stats dont matter. wins are the only things that count.

i'm thoroughly wiped out of listening to approximately this crap! matters will settle down interior the subsequent couple of weeks, and then at his sentencing on Dec. 10 all we are able to pay interest approximately and observe on television is Vick, Vick, Vick. he's a guy who screwed up undesirable in spite of the shown fact that could desire to be allowed to play as straight away as better as straight away as he's paid his debt to society. it is that useful. now no longer plenty to think of roughly, particularly.

I thought last year was hilarious. Whenever the Falcons were losing, Vick would get hit, fake an injury, sit on the bench, and was fine for the following game...when the Falcons would be down, Vick would get hit, fake an injurt, sit on the bench, and was fine for the following game...
He should give soccer a try.
