Fumes from molten plastic. I worked at a plastics plant, and one time, I walked up to two or three female coworkers to ask, "Did you just see a pink elephant walk past here?" They looked at me like my head was upside-down, and didn't answer.
I went back, several minutes later, to say, "There it goes again." And I pointed out the most overweight coworker we had (overweight by 200 lbs., or 90 kgs.), dressed in a pink sweatsuit. It turned out to be a pretty good joke, as jokes go.

Gees you would have to be on some hard stuff or without sleep for like a week or something....I see things but not pink elephants.

I'm usually ON a green zebra with yellow stripes
when i do see them !!
Although i seemed to have lost him riding in the blue jungle
with yellow trees last night !!
Hmmmm .... O' well,
i still have my purple people eater tied up in the back yard !!

When I start seeing pink elephants I take my stupid rose colored sunglasses off.
Then they are gray again.
