Starting Over by John Lennon ~ Extremely appropriate at this time in my life, what is the memory? There are myriads of them...for night on 25 years this song has played yet each time that I hear it, it brings a brand new and fresh "Starting Over" to me....rather amazing wouldn't you say? I also have this song reminding me of hitting 6 out of 6 in Las vegas and 4 out of 4 in one day, quite a take huh? Oh yes, I love this song!!!!....yes there are other songs, endless.....My head is like a constant radio...this song makes me think of the best things that have ever happened to me, Best Job, having my son, swimming in Scottsdale Arizona, Album Debut parties, being able to avert writer's block and kick it. Well you asked!
Thank You......

Tons of them! The one that popped into my head when I saw this question is Rock The Boat. It was very popular on the radio the one summer my mother agreed to let me sleep outside in a screen house we had. It was a permanent building with electricity. I'd sit up at night with my radio playing, enjoying the moonlight and the sense of freedom I had of not being in the house sharing a room with my sister and having to go to bed at a certain time. I hung these sheer curtains around the cot I was sleeping on. I just picture this cool breeze with the curtains stirring and the moonlight. Our dog hanging out with me. It was nice.

yes,
It was "backstreets back" everybody. IT takes me back to the time when I was 10 and I went to new york to visit my cousin, we did not sleep that night, we stayed up all night and turned the air conditioner all the way up. Then we danced to the video of the song and has a blast.

whenever I hear anything by backstreet boys I am reminded of my youth and those feel good years.

life as an adult freakin' sux.

Well it's really the whole Jack Johnson, In Between Dreams album, but in particular the song "Breakdown" reminds me of August of last year when my family and I went to MA while one of my family members was very very sick, it's good & bad memories.

Led Zeppelin- Thank you.

A friend of mine wrote the lyrics of this song to me four days before he committed suicide. Here are the lyrics:

If the sun refused to shine
I would still be loving you
mountains crumble to the sea
there would still be you and me
kind woman, i give you my all
kind woman, nothing more

Little drops of rain
whipser all the pain
tears of loves lost and the days gone by
if our love is strong
then there is no wrong
together we shall go until we die
inspiration is what you are to me
inspiration, love to see

if the sun refused to shine
I would still be loving you
mountains crumble to sea
there would still be
you
you, babe
and me

The Circle of Life from the Lion King. It reminds me of the morning that I woke up and turned on the TV (which was playing the first verse at the time), which was on my town's public channel, and saw my dog dead at the foot of my bed.

I cry every time I hear it now. ;_;
