Always wash dark clothes in cold water. This will help them not to fade so fast.

Always wash dark clothes together in COLD water INSIDE OUT. Do not use as much detergent that you would normally use. Hang the clothes up on a hanger to air dry then put them in the dryer to fluff up and make softer. This what I do with all of my family's dark/black clothing.

Wash and dry them inside out in cold water. You should also use a mild detergent as the others fade the material faster, try lux flakes or wool wash..xx

Add a thimble full of white vinegar to your wash. It'll preserve the color and it WON'T make your laundry smell sour/acidic. Just be sure to pair it w/the normal detergent u use. And, wash w/cold water (hot water will fade black quickly), as well as turning your garments inside out. These are the best methods for keeping your clothes jet black vs. ashy black!

Before the first time you wash a new clothing item, presoak it in a vinegar solution. Take 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 gallon of cold water & soak the item. Let dry naturally and then launder as usual. The vinegar solution somehow locks the color and there is significantly less fading than normal. Good Luck!

There's special detergents that you can use to help from your clothes fading--like Tide. It does work, I would recommend it if you don't mind pay a little extra $$.

Wash only if visibly soiled; otherwise, freshen in the dryer. When washing, use Tide's detergent for black clothes.
