Cleaning Business.I would not have a office it would be ran out of a truck .

in your county you go to the county clerk's office and file a dba , then you go to the city clerk's office and file a business license, and yes you are supposed to do both prior to opening your business doors and operating...

Depends on the business. If you're selling to the public yes you need a license. If it's a home based business no.

If you're selling guns, yes. Otherwise, no. Check with your state requirements. You may not need any licenses at all. The one that you're likely to need is "sales & use tax" license to collect your state's sales tax. Search for "business registration XX" from google (XX=your state).
