If Israel wanted peace it would respect the UN resolutions that tell them to give back the occupied territories and that call for the creation of a Palestinian state...If Israel would want peace it would tear down the wall they are building ,the wall that makes the Palestinian territories a big prison...If Israel would want peace it would stop killing Palestinians and start treating them like human, not like animals like they do now...
But Israel does not want this...Israel wants all the Palestinians out of West Bank and Gaza so they can occupy even more land,'cos it's their "Holly Land"...How hypocrite they are...'Cos back in 1919 they could not care less about it when they wanted to create a Jew state in Argentina...

In fact, last year when it pulled out of Gaza, Israel didn't even ask anything in return. Did the Palestinians build roads, schools, a viable government? No. they built a 300 m tunnel used to smuggle suicide bombers into Israel.
Look- the Palestinians have gotten a raw deal. They're political refugess that were refused entry by Egypt and Jordan to be used as political pawns to push for the destruction of Israel. Arafat created a people out of them by using the oldest trick in the book- defining an enemy and declaring war against it. When Ehud Barak offered to return 97% of the occupied territories to the Palestinians in exchange for recognizing Israel- Arafat had to walk from the table. The reason was that he hadn't prepared his people for peace- only war.
Now- they elected Hamas, mostly because they were less currupt than Fatah. But, power currupts and Hamas won't deal with Israel, so Israel cut them off financially. Now, the poor Palestinians are wallowing in poverty, starving. Where are all their Arab neighbors? Where's the support? the humanitarian supplies are coming from the US and Israel.

The reason they are building the wall is that their neighbours will not sign up to peaceful co-existence. The talks on the"Road Map" to peace seek to ensure a two state solution that satisfies the peoples and the governments of those states. Unfortunately there are those in the region who profit, politically, from the continuing unrest. These people, whether they be the extreme right wing in Israel or the governments of Iran or Syria do not want to see peace in the region. For the Israeli right extremists perpetual war is preferable to compromise. For Iran and Syria it is the price to be paid to prevent democratic countries, on their border, influencing or inspiring their populations to question how their own countries are governed.
A government of national unity as proposed by President Abbas is an interesting first step and should be praised but the extremists within Hamas must be reeled in if (and it is debatable) they really are acting in the interests of the Palestinian people.

Didn't they pulled out of Gaza already? Isn't there a Palestinian state with it's own government? Aren't palestinians still kidnap Israel's soldiers and kill Innocent people?
What else do you want? Would you like it if everyone in Israel went to the sea and drown themselves? Would you be happy then, or would you still need something from Israel?

Once upon a time all the Arab countries went to war with Israel and they fought and won in 6 days they pushed the Arabs back and then occupied those lands. If the Arabs really wanted peace they would not have started 3 wars with Israel, the 6 day one was all about annihilation. Golda Mier said it best " we will have peace when they love their children more then they hate us"

Well, they always make promises they'd give Gaza and the West Bank to Palestine. And no, whoever thinks Palestinians killed Israelis after they handed over Gaza to them, is wrong.

Yo, Puppet.
They did give them back the West Bank and Gaza. The Palestinians (at least HAM-AZS) don't want to play nice. They want it all.

Israel need reassurances that they won't be attacked.
Once this is achieved, then Palestine can achieve recognition as a sovereign nation.
Once this happens, an economic boom will result for Palestine, Israel and all mid-east nations.
Peace and Prosperity.
Lord - when will this happen.
