There are thousands of people of all ages on Yahoo! Answers and some will be serious and try to give a straightforward answer. Some will be mean and hateful at times. Having said that...the same goes to the questions (not yours) that are asked. Some are serious, some are foolish, some are slanderous and I'm slowly but surely learning to pick and choose which ones I answer.
Just go with the flow , as they say, and don't become too upset about what we can't control.

Can I just ask, if you were sat in a pub, a particularly nice and chilled pub where all the locals know each other well enough to share a joke and make fun of life, would you be the miserable sod sat reading a paper at the end of the bar, only speaking when you wanted to put someone else down for knowing how to laugh...?

because people sometimes don't care about the question, they just want the points! Just remember that we also deal with people on here of ALL different ages, so the maturity levels are all different, which can be a good or a bad thing.

I agree and my favorite is when I get an email from others who don't like my answer. That really crack me up.
Well I may have been guilty of it a time or to. You have a lot of Idiots and teens not to mention mentally Ill(they have to be with some of the stuff i read)

I answer seriously when the question is serious,but otherwise I try and have fun.A lot of people on here just answer hateful or sarcatically just to get a rise out of you, I would ignore it and not worry about it too much,it's not personal.

Your problem is that you really need to lighten up. If you take everything so seriously you could be heading 90 mph toward a lonley life. You just have to overlook ppl sometimes. Dont let ppl get to you, that is what they want.

Just pick one of the serious categories. Any of them except Polls and Surveys. That is the category for fun and silliness. (There has to be ONE) I'm sure whatever the question, there is a category you can fit it into besides this one! If anyone wants to stay away from the silly answers and questions etc. all they need to do is stay out of this category.
