I keep trying to do my math HW, but my cramps hurt so much! Pamprin makes me feel trippy and we don't have Midol or anything else. ='( Any alternative cures out there? It's appreciated.

thank you so much. I usually don't drink caffeine unless I'm REALLY tired and still have a lot to do, so that's good. But any advice that involves sleeping is good to me! ^_^ But really, thank you all for putting the time in to help me with this. <3

Try a little light exercise. Activity makes many women feel better.
Apply some heat. Warmth can often soothe period cramps. Take a long, hot bath or place a hot water bottle or heating pad on your stomach.
Give yourself a gentle massage. Gently rubbing or massaging your abdomen can often relieve cramps.
Eat less salt. Drink more water. That “huge” feeling you get each month is caused by increased hormones that make you retain water, which in turn makes body tissue swell. So, drink more water and eat less salt. You'll help relieve bloating and headaches—and you might even feel more comfy in your favorite jeans!
Limit caffeine. As tough as it is to cut back on those grande, extra hot, no whip mochas, taking in less caffeine does help some women feel better.
Get enough sleep. It's much easier to deal with discomfort when you're not tired and cranky. Try to catch a few extra z's if you can.

Ibuprofen works best for me. To reduce the amount I take, or to feel immediate comfort until it kicks in, I like to sit in a particular yoga pose that releases the cramping in less than a minute.
I sit in "cobbler's pose", which is where you sit with the soles of your feet together, and your knees out. If I want to stay in the pose for a little while, I'll lean back against a pillow (still mostly upright). If your hips are tight, you can place pillows on the floor beneath each knee for support.
Heat is very helpful as well. You can try a hot water bottle on your lower belly.
Caffeine intensifies cramping, so you may want to avoid coffee, tea with caffeine, chocolate, or Excedrin. Other than these, comfort foods that just make you feel better are great for the psychological part of healing. *smile*
Hope you feel better soon!

Stand about 2 feet away froma wall with your feet shoulder width apart. WIthout moving your feet, lean forward and place your elbows on the wall. Now lean forward until your abdomen touches the wall. Hold it there about 30 seconds, or however long it takes. This stretches the abdominals and the uterus and pulls the cramps out. It's a trick I learned in high school and it works great.

This works for me every time:
2 extra strength tylenol and one can of mountain dew. I don't like mountain dew, but the high caffeine (I think) and pain meds seem to work on the cramps.

Maybe you should try 'Oriyen Super Kino'.
It is a herbal plaster that you can stick on the sole of your feet before bedtime. It helps to detox the toxin from your body and also reduce the aches, pains, and stiffness.
