You should question the reason why you are so adamant that you just want to remain friends. If you think you are starting to have feelings for him why not go with the flow and see what happens. Meet up and shag him a few times and if it doesn't work out go back to your internet relationship with no 'hard' feelings between you.

have you ever met this guy in person, if not just be honest with him, ya better of been friends than nothing at all. if you have never met him, your feeling are coming from what he as said to you through messenger, and thats only talk, in real life things could be totally different.
