One third of july, must have been 92 because I was on my way to go see Terminator 2, we were just about to hop in the car and I decided to toss a few jumping jacks, a trick I learned from dad, into the street, they had all gone out and we left... Well on the way to the mall we stopped off at 7- ELEVEn to get, well for myself a Slurpee, and some candy to smuggle into the film. Unfortunately I spilled slurpee all over my white shorts and insisted that we swing by my house so that I could change "real quick"... As we approched my house I saw a smouldering shell of what used to be this really huge bush in my front yard, a fire extinguisher, and a garden hose all laying about.
My friends were like " oh man you're fncked lets go watch the flick..." but I had decided I would sneak into the house and change. I snuck into my bedroom window and was in my underwear when a surprise left backhand came out of nowhere... I was also not allowed to go to the movie, would your mom have done the same?

I would of been in serious trouble. I wouldn't of be backhanded but grounded and yelled at for hours. My mom liked to vocalize her frustrations at me so loud that the neighbors heard. But that's what she would have done. If one of my kids had done this I would of probably laughed and been happy that the house didn't go up in flames, then during the weekend I would make my kids pull up the bush and replant a new one. Then they would have to take a local class at the about the dangers of fireworks and the penalties of fire. I would make them pretty miserable to teach a lesson. I don't mind my kids playing with firecrackers as long as they do it safely and when I'm present.

That surprise backhand is pretty sweet.

Um, my mom would have done way worse. She would have made me pay for a new bush, replant it, she also likely would have slapped me (not that I agree with that), and I would have been grounded for the whole summer.

boy are you lucky you didn't have my mother.

My mother was meaner 'n a junk yard dog.
She would have beat my azzz " SILLY " with an
extension cord.
Then I would have been subjected
to what I call her" evil eye and
self induced tourettes tirade. "

*you got by lucky young man.
