there is a movie coming out in theaters on sept. 29 called "open season"; also a movie called "grindiron gang" in theaters this friday.

Little Miss Sunshine is the last I saw and I enjoyed it. I'm going to see The Black Dahlia tomorrow, so hopefully it will be good.
Best alternative is The War Tapes, a documentary about the war from the soldiers viewpoint.

I haven't seen any good ones but I can tell you not to see the wicker man.The commercial looks good but the movie is so bad.

If you're into football and underdog stories, I thought Invincible was really well done!
And you'll DIE with the 70's era styles.
