We share the decisions based on our strengths. Decisions about things I am strong at (finances, repairs, etc.) I make. Decisions about things she is strong at (place to live, risks to take or not, artistic decisions, intiution etc.) she makes.
Also, we talk everything over no matter what. No snap decisions without discussion.

Actually, my partner makes any number of the decisions in our relationship. For example, she decides when she needs to go to the bathroom. She's also at liberty to decide whether to have tea or milk with a meal. And, she alone determines at what hour she goes to bed.

I try to balance the decisions between the two of us. If I know more, I make the decision most of the time and vice versa.

It depends on the situation. Someone finally has to decide or we'd drive around all night saying, "where do you want to eat."
We split them pretty evenly. There are some decisions that he doesn't care about and there are some I don't care about. We talk about the BIG stuff.

Well, I make decisions for things that involve me and she makes the same for her. But together we discuss what is happening and come to an agreement.

We discuss major issues, but I make most of the financial decisions. If I didn't we'd be bankrupt and living out on the street.

I'm the decision maker in my marriage. I'm the one who handles all the bills and tells my husband what we can or cannot afford. My husband says it's easier that way. He doesn't want to be the one responsible for handling all that stuff. I pretty much think for him half the time. He doesn't like to make decisions. Works for me.

We make them mutually. Of course we are normally on the same wave length and both have learned to be quick to compromise. We never play games and neither of us has a need to declare a winner of every match.
