I live in an oldmill that has been modernized into apartments. It was built more than 150 years ago and ran on water power. Behind the mill is a small river and a dam. Quite often I go for a walk in the woods along the river and watch the ducks on the pond. We have a lot of different kinds of ducks, some of them fly through on their way north in the spring or on their way south in the fall. Some stay all winter. We are not too far from the ocean, so sometimes we see a lot of shore birds that come in away from the ocean to avoid a storm.
Very soon the leaves will start turning colors. They will be really beautiful with bright red and orange maple trees, yellow beech and birch, and brown oaks. When the leaves fall I can look out my window and see the snow that has fallen in the woods, and see the sun setting over the river.

When we lived in Hanau, Germany the base where we lived was located a couple of miles from a neat little town that had wonderful restaurants, bakeries and shops. After work a couple of times a week we would walk out of the gate and down a road that ran in the middle of the air field where helicopters practiced landing and taking off. Those helicopter pilots were top-notch and liked to show off when they saw us watching them! The Army allowed a shepherd and his flock to feed there, so they would not have to mow. We enjoyed watching him striding across the field with 50 or so sheep following his every move!
In Germany no one has air conditioning in their home, so when the homes that lined the streets had their windows open, the most wonderful smells of supper cooking would drift out! If we left the base around 5:30 and starting walking to town, it would be about 6 when we got to our favorite restaurant. We liked to sit outside and watch the people walk and ride their bikes passed - I miss that here in Georgia! It would be dark when we walked back home, but there were plenty of street lights to light the way. Great memories! Thank you!!!

Let's see. You go out of my apartment complex. To the right there are many houses where hispanics lives. If you make a left you will find some grey colored apartment buildings that many African americans live. Further down you'll get to the Getty gas station. There's nothing really intersesting in my neighborhood, but its home for right now. I'd like to move because I live in a studio apartment.

My walk form is putting one foot in front of the other, and don't call me neighborhood!
How was it? normal
What was the most interest thing? I guess the trees, since they grow yearly, it's the closest thing to any type of interest.
Finally, I think, in the future, I will not remember best. I believe one remembers best when one is young.
