I am a doctor. I have had many patients with this exact problem. It is mainly due to stress. Maybe you are worrying too much about having this baby. you need to three things in order to get rid of the headaches. First of all, you should not take too many pain relievers (advil, tylenol), because believe it or not, this can affect the baby after birth. You should also drink plenty of water because it is good for yourself and your baby. Having a healthy diet and watching what you eat is part of this also. Lastly, whenever you feel overwhelmed by anything, you should calm yourself down and take deep breaths because this will eliminate stress and make your headaches go away.

Find another doctor that's going to take your complaint seriously. I have Migraine Disease, I had my first migraine around your age. I'm now 45 and I'm still having them on a daily basis. However, the paid doesn't always have to knock you down. It can be somewhat managed. I'd also ask for a blood test. If your iron is low and/or your hemoglobin is low, both of these factors can cause the pain. If you're taking anything over the counter, such as dietary supplements the side effect can be a migraine/headache. There are so many different meds out there for them now. The problem is finding the one that's going to work for you. Imitrex, Axert, Frova, Vicadin (not recommended for your age group), Topamax, and even the Morphine patch Duragesic which I've also been on. Oh, and there are also Botox injections directly into the veins that are causing the pain. Good luck and whatever you do don't let them write you off as a kid being stressed out. Make them take you seriously. It's because of migraines that I can't work anymore. And trust me, sitting at home every single day for the rest of your life is horrible. I mean look at me, it's 4:23 am and I'm on my laptop. And yes, my head is killing me!

I'm 16 weeks pregnant too. My migraines have increased since i've been pregnant. My neurologist says it can be from the hormone changes your body is going through. They can decrease as you get further along in your pregnancy. I have tried Tylenol which usually doesn't do anything depending on if I can keep it down. My neuro suggested acupuncture and that has helped lessen them a bit. It's totally safe in pregnancy and doesn't have any side effects like medications. Also they can give you things like Tylenol w/codeine if you are willing to take it during pregnancy they say it should be safe, but I don't trust that really. So i'm trying the acupuncture and my husband massages my neck and shoulders so they aren't so tense when I get them.
Good luck.

You need to get it checked out because having headaches every day could be a sign of high blood pressure and high blood pressure when you are pregnant can be a symptom of Preeclampsia. When I was 8 months pregnant with my son, I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and the doctor asked me if I had been having headaches. I had been having headaches for about a week. Are you also experiencing swelling.

I am 27 weeks and have the same problem. I always seem to have a bad headache... this morning it was so bad that my ears were ringing! I just take Tylenol and have to remember that it's only a very short period of my life and there's nothing more I can do!!
Good luck and make sure you eat several small meals a day and get plenty of rest!!

I had the very exact same problem when I was pregnant!! It is all hormones..hate to tell you but it will probably be like that for a while. Mine finally went away around the 25 weeks mark. I was told I could take tylenol and also for the HORRIBLE headaches my doctor gave me a low dose of darvocet to take the edge off.

I am 19 weeks pregnant and I have the same problem. I have talked with my doctor about it and he said that headaches are pretty normal in pregnancy as you have lots more blood flow. He said that if they get really bad or tylenol does not help to come in right away and see him

I had this problem. They prescribed me Tylenol with Codeine, but I refused to take it because of the baby. If this is of hope, they went away as fast as they came. I can't remember exactly how long, but I would say they lasted less than a month. I was about the same weeks pregnant too. Good luck and congratulations.

Dehydration can cause bad headaches. Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day, even if you are not thirsty. Also, talk to your dr as high blood pressure can cause headaches as well and you don't want to have that affect your baby.

I'm 32 weeks pregnant and since the beginning, I've had bad headaches, too. I asked my doctor about it and she said it's just because your body is going through so many changes, physically and emotionally. Take Tylenol, it's safe.
