That depends on what the war was started over and how many other country's support one side or the other. It also depends on how thinly our own military resources are spread over the rest of the world. But if it was just the U.S. against Russia with no other country's interfering and we weren't already in several other military conflicts, I think the U.S. would win.

Where would such a war be fought? Whichever country is fighting on their home turf wins... The Russian winter laid the smack down on Napoleon & Nazi Germany, and the Russians don't want any part of US street gangs or the survivalists in Idaho, Montana etc...

interesting question.guess it will have no winners in the end but as of the fighting i think the russians wont ever tire.American soldiers dont have the stamina for years of prolonged war at a massive scale of loosing millions in the process,russians on the other hand are willing to do that.They LIKE FIGHTING for centuries with those crazy southern tribes so its in their blood my man.America... lots of morale at the begining but in the end tears,russians vodka and bullets and cheerefull as ever!

Right now, it's USA all the way. Before the breakup of the Soviet Union things would have been more interesting.

USA no doubt...without the ability to use nuclear weapons, Russia is at a great disadvantage. the US has the greastest overll military in the world, and as well as our unprecedented technology, Russia would be hit standing still by our Air Force and tactical teams on the ground.

if we invaded Russia we would suffer extreme casualties since, the Russians are far more suited for the terrain.

I would have to go with USA. We pay our military and we also keep it up with the most advanced and up to date weaponry. Ours is also all volunteer.
