... (at work) but I used to be able to access the games on TV Guide's website, until they changed their whole site recently. Do you know of any other websites where there are games, sort of as a secondary thing, that I may be able to play without being blocked?

it sounds as though your employer has implemented a piece of software like mimesweeper that basically blocks websites that they deem to be innappropriate. This includes porn sites and web based mail... in fact they can configure it however they feel.... it's probably the result of the IT dept monitoring frequently accessed sites that are not work related. There are lots of system tools available that can analyse this sort of thing.....

Anyhow, that's what they've done I am afraid.

If you value your job, keep personal use to a minimum otherwise they'll have a case for HR to intravene....

take heed.. honestly

Here are a few games sites that are amazing. I play them at work all the time. Because they are embedded objects most of the time a firewall will not pic it up, but this is not 100% guaranteed.

www.crazymonkeygames.com
www.miniclip.com

Most of my friends have the same problem

If u got internet explorer 7 or higher
they block Active X Controls
try allowing them (if u know if it is safe)

whuggie mentioned the sites of free flash games will
be safe if u allowed them to run the active x controls
I am sure of it. why??? coz i played them all
and nothing bad happened to my pc
