Depends what class it is for. If it's English1301 or 1302, I remember doing a paper on the the history of the vampire and its emergence in pop culture. You just have to pick something that you personally find interesting.

I did mine on a society's perception an acceptance of people, based on physical attrativeness... there are lots of studies, and I performed one of my own. I did alot of my own studies and I thought it was fun. I compared what people "said" mattered when it came to meeting someone of the opposite sex, or accepting friendship, then what actually happened when they were put into a situation without them knowing...
