I have downloaded messenger twicee and the sound effects are still not working. Please help?

Ok so I have downloaded yahoo messenger twice and for some reason the sound effects such as the knock knock and the door closing to let you know when someone is coming online or going offline is not working. All the autibles are working though. The buzz does not work either. Does anyone have any clue why these are not working? I can hear all other sound/music from my speakers so why not the sound effects of this??

you need to dowmload the flash player that goes with it to get them to work.. i had this problem last year, and dont remember where i found it..
