Set both timers off together! When the 7 minute one runs out. START boiling the egg! There are still 4 minutes left on the 11 minute timer, as soon as these 4 minutes are over, restart the 11 minute timer. Now the egg has boiled for 4 minutes and will boil for a futher 11 minutes which makes a total of exactly 15 minutes!!!.

Start both the 7 and the 11.

When the 7 is done, flip it. You will have 7 remaining on the 7 timer, and 4 on the 11 timer.

When the 4 minutes has ended, tip the 7 minute timer sideways. You will have 4 minutes on one side of it and 3 minutes on the other.

Reset the 11 minute timer, start it with the egg. When it is done, flip the 7 minute time so the remaining 4 minutes is on top.

Wait 4 minutes, peel egg, add salt to taste.

Caution: egg will be hot.

Start both timers together. When the 7 minute timer finishes, turn it over immediately. It will run for 4 minutes before the 11 minute timer finishes. Turn the 7 minute timer over again at that point and it will measure a further 4 minutes : 15 minutes in total.

Take the 11 minute timer and let it run for 7 minutes, this will leave 4 minutes on the 11 minute timer. Put the egg in, flip the 4 minutes of the 11 timer over, then flip it over again, allowing it to run for the full 11 minutes. 11+4=15 minutes for a 15 minute egg.

(The egg will have been boiling 4 min.) When the 11-min timer times out the 2nd time the egg will be a 15-min really, really hard boiled egg.
