A local charity is selling 1000 raffle tickets for $100 for a chance to win a $25,000 car. That's a nice $75,000 profit. And a 1 in 1000 chance to win is not bad either. I wonder if you could do that on a small scale say with a new PS2, MP3 or maybe something hard to get in your area. Don't forget to ask for a discount or donation when purchasing the item.

I am learning support outreach worker in a primary school. One of my jobs is to oversee the running of the school council, in the summer the school held a fete. The children on the council wanted a stall to raise money and came up with the idea of a doodle competition. use a A5 piece of paper and three colour pencils, you charge an amount for each person to enter, you then get somebody to choose the best doodle(independent person like the headteacher) you will need a small prize for the winner.

A good way to raise money is by having a car wash, bake sale, auction some items off, take over a carnival or zoo for the evening charging $5 per person. Another good idea that I have is inviting a local band to your high school let's say on a Friday night who also want "attention" and want their band name to spread in the town that you live in. At the door, charge each person $5, but sell food items such as hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, soda and sell them $2 or $3.00. Have a picture booth where students could have their picture taken and that'll also bring in money to your school. There's all kinds of activities and creative events you can do to bring in money.

I have a great Fundraiser Program and have held several school fundraisers here in Georgia at all levels. Have your school's rep go to my website and review the fundraiser section. You can use brochures or the internet for the promotion. Your school will pull in 30% of the proceeds.
If you have any questions or need help, email me.

You could try an open road run you could ask your local athletic club to help you organise it with stewards etc you then charge an entry fee and off you go give it a really good name and it could be an annual event if you have a playing field how about bike races eg last one off (the last person across the line gets eliminated)
simple ones car wash cut grass for the summer

Wear your pajamas (or pick some other theme) to school day - people have to pay to wear them that day
Throw pies at the principal/teacher - Find principal or teacher(s) willing to go along with this to participate
Get out of one homework assignment free week (this would take some doing on part of the teachers - and probably a whole lot of convincing to have it go over well) and could be one per teacher if the kids wanted to pay - teachers could limit it to certain assignments- But I bet it would pull in a lot of money if you priced it right
Have a big pizza party - Maybe you could get local places to donate stuff (depending on what you're earning this money for) and people could pay a set price to get pizza, soda, other munchies and fun and games
Ok, yeah I'm outta ideas now

Have your tried journalism? There are many thousands, even millions of websites looking for people to write up articles on their behalf. You can also try your luck with the press and magazines - just keep sending your stuff in until you hit the target. Good luck.
