My daughter came home with a puppy I told her she couldn't have. And so I already don't like him, he's 7 weeks old and every time I bring something home to plant in my garden he thinks it's a new toy for him to rip up and eat! God I hate this dog!!! How do I keep him out of my flower beds and teach him to stop tearing up everything. Keep in mind we just bought this home and can't yet afford to build a dog run, but believe me there is one in his near future.

Puppys will be puppys and you will learn to love him I am sure :0) In the meantime, - do not know how old your daughter is, but seeing as it is her puppy, perhaps she could go with him to puppy classes?
She should probably take some of the responsibility of training him - seeing as she does want him - because really - he just needs to be taught what he can and can not do.
Absolutely he needs toys, and one good training excercise is to say "no" when he is doing something you do not like and quickly substitue one of his toys and tell him "good dog".
Good luck it will be worth the effort in the long run - Dogs are a families best freind. After cats of course !!!! :0)

he is a damn puppy if you dont want him to get into anything keep him far away from it. Try training the dog instead of complaining to perfect strangers about it. Buy him a toy or something

oh and by the way, you question that you asked does not need a question mark on the end of it

I agree if you hate it get rid of it ,if you just don't like it or can't stand it but he is just a little cute inhis own way, then give it a go, but puppies will be puppies and this is there chewing and detructive stage for the next year!! If you are in it for the long haul keep it if you are just trying to make your daughter happy get rid of it,get her a gold fish.

Puppies are always chewing on anything they see...if you can buy him a chew toy that would really help...you can buy that at a local pet shop.

If you really hate this dog, please find a home for him with someone who loves him. This is terribly unfair to the dog.

Did you hate your daughter when she pooped in her diaper? Playfulness, digging and chewing are normal for a puppy!

Spray toxic pesticide on all your plants, he'll either stay away or the chemical will take care of him for you.
