Yes, I am. I am very grateful that my biological parents made that choice. I was raised by wonderful people who maybe not by blood, but in every other way, are my parents. My bio mom and dad were very young (16 and 17) but they made a very loving and responsible decision by giving me up and I am very happy about it. I have known ever since I was old enough to understand ;)

My mother is and she's o.k. with it. When she was born, it was not proper to have a baby out of wedlock, so her birthmother had no choice but to put her up for adoption. My mother understands why she was given up.
The only thing my Mom misses is family history. I worry what I could pass to my children. I am actually glad that my Mom is adopted because mental illness, alcoholism, and cancer all run on my Mom's side of the family.

No, but my mate is. The more we find out about his adopted family, the more we realize that they don't all have the same parents either. He definately wants some stability & needs affection. Probably because he never had it as a kid.
