The last two gave decent advice for training for those races, however, those trainings should be done in season. Since you are pre-training, focus on longer runs. It is better to build up endurance before hand, and then during the season do workouts designed to maintain endurance and build speed. Speed workouts tend to be more risky (injury wise) and missing a week of speed will set you back much more then missing a week of distance. Also, speed tends to peak, but endurance doesn't. If you are doing indoor (winter) track, i would start running at least 2 miles (preferably much more, closer to 5) about 5 times a week. If you want, you can throw in some easy speed workouts just to let loose every once in awhile. For outdoor track, push it all back a couple of monthes. Consider joining your schools XC team if you can, that will help with endurance. Most good 800m and up runners also compete in XC during the fall.
But focus on endurance now, let your speed come in during the season.

well to add on to the other guys' answers, to train for the 800, do some 400 repeats, and some 850 meter races on your own. if you get a pb for the 800 while running an 850...you're doing good!!! then for the mile, ooo i'm not very knowledgable about that, but i know for the 800 or 1600 you need to incorporate some distance into your training. for the 1600 meter, just run 1000 meter repeats, and then some 2000 meter repeats and stuff.

Wow..aren't there a lot of morons here...please don't give running advice if u'v never ran before.. the 'm' stands for METERS...anyways....i have ran these races before and the thing is to pace your self...u don't have to be in the lead..but don't put too much distance between u and the lead runner...stay pretty close...in the last like 200-100 meters, break into a sprint like a 50 meter dash....
to train....run double to distance of the event you're running...say ur running the 1600m, run 2 miles for practice. this will help u cause in the race, a mile won't be as tiring so u can push your self hadrer....good luck...=]

My health teacher said that if we're ever gonna run that much to eat good amounts of carbs the night before. This will give you energy but it can only be the night before because they body uses energy from food from previous days. Things like pasta and rice are good :]
Oh btw I guess you can stuff yourself up with chocolate before the race because it's better if your body uses the energy from fats first.
Good luck :)

....
Yes
Don't run that much. Why would you want to run that much? Are you trying to break a world record or something? Well anyway....keep a bunch of pairs of shoes with you, you'll have to change them cause they'll get used up. And drink plenty of water and Gatorade or PowerAid. Good luck...that is if you're serious.
