Many of them will claim to have served, but then again, how many liberals do you know tell the truth?

I have never served in the military, but I have been involved in different forms of protests and rallies throughout my life, therefore I would say that I am a participant in a Democratic society and a defender of free speech.

I would never serve in the military, unless I thought the conflict in which I would be fighting was just. I would have served in WW1 and WW2 if I was of the age and a male because I feel that the United States had a legitimate reason to be involved in those wars, however no conflict since WW2 I feel is justifiable for our troops to be in.

The last war we were in that "defended our way of life" was World War II. None of our wars since then have been necessary to defend the United States.

Let me hasten to add that this isn't the fault of our soldiers. It's the fault of the politicians who send them into battle, and the problem is equally bad with politicians of both the major parties.

I'd lay odds that the person asking this question hasn't served in the military either, for what that's worth.

I guess I could be considered a liberal, and I tried to enlist in the air force, in fact I scored so high on the ASVAP that they were offering me the world.

But ultimately, I couldn't pass the physical because of numerous genetic deformations.

If American troops didn't go into Iraq, we'd still be here.

Iraq was no threat to our country, whatsoever, unlike what Bush would have you believe; That Saddam planned 9/11 with Osama.

Typical fear and scare tactics from Cons...

Of course you are going to ask this question about Republicans, Libertarians, and Greens as well, so that you don't seem to come across as a discriminatory jerk, right?

I thought not.
