Oh yes you can. I've done it for so long, it's second nature. I've been bartending for over 10 years. A customer could walk into the bar and I could look him up and down, sum up his life story, as well as what his problem was before he even ordered a beer. At first I thought it was weird, but there are so many clues to pick up on. Frown lines, laugh lines, deepset eyes, big round open eyes, small nose, pointed nose, etc. The features all add up to facial expressions and body language. They also give off a presence/vibe without even having to speak. I use to think it was solely the eyes that were the window to the soul and could not lie, but that is so not true. People in this day and age have learned to lie through their teeth and hold your gaze long enough to make you believe whatever they are saying. If you want to be able to judge a person's character, you have to take it all in.

Yes, I think you can, keeping eye contact is a sure sign, and demeanor that show me, eyes that are set too close, the brow that is turned upward, the lines in a persons forehead, the curvature of the mouth. The way they hold their head itself.
I know what you mean about someone that is just so gorgeous or handsome, it's the little facial expressions that give them away.
Body language plays a big part also.

Everyone has it right on the eyes.
That's why some poker players cover their eyes with dark sunglasses to bluff and cover their involuntary eye reflexes.
Shifting eyes or even staring intense looks tend to show sneekiness and untrustworthiness.
Smiles can show frindliness but also be aware that people smile sometimes out of nervesness. A smiling mouth and eyes will show happiness.

Of course it is possible to judge by looking at a person. Is it fair to do so...no I don't think so. Although, as adults I think it is a bit easier. Have you ever noticed that some small children shy away from certain people. It has a lot to do with the feelings they get from that person. So I think to a degree we can get some type of vibe from a persons face even as you said "don't judge a book by its cover."

IF we can let ourselves see beyond our own judgements, preconceptions, and stereotypes so we don't transfer our own prejudices onto someone just because of appearance....
IF we can truly allow ourselves to "see" a person's essence rather than just the form, then I think, yes... it is possible to sense whether that person is honorable and trustworthy or not.
Course, you can also learn to read the "tells" people give off when they are lying and know that way too.

Absolutely not! The Bible says that the devil in the beginning was a beautiful Angel!! In charge of Praise and Worship!! Do the research for yourself. Looks was definitely deceiving!! Please don't go by a pretty face or sweet words, that person can be a wolf in sheep clothing. Once I met a guy that washed cars and had dread locks. I thought that he was a thug. To my surprise, this man was very intelligent and knew several business people that he referred me to. Go figure!!

Sure. People can hide lots with their faces, but if you just look at the eyes, you can tell. Even if someone is wearing a 'poker face' there are always going to be people who are trustworthy and you know it just by looking at their face.

Definatly. I look at them right in their eyes and can tell to not trust that one. I also get a feeling thats either good or bad. Usually im right. There was this new girl in my school that everyone liked except me. I just got a bad feeling from her. She left the school and she was at a party i went to and she turned out to be a s***. Now alot of people at my school dont like her.

The face? No.
Eyes, yes. Eyes are one of the few physical features that humans do not have utmost control over.
Eyes/eyebrows are subconciously monitored by the emotional part of our brains.
Watch the eyes. They'll tell you everything you need to know.
