My first pregnancy I went a week over due and my doctor induced me. With this one I was in the hospital at 30 weeks and they had to stop my contractions. I'm 37 weeks now. My lower back hurts and I have lots of pressure down in my pelvis area. I think that I might have her early. Is it common to go earlier with your second child than your first??

Share your pregnancy story with me....???? Thanks!

Well I havent had a second child yet but with my first child I went into labor at 32 weeks and they had to stop it and then I went back into contractions 34 1/2 weeks and had my son in 6 hours! So i can only imagine that my next child will be 10 times faster ...

But I can say that my mom had me at 38 weeks in 16 hours and then had my brother at 38 weeks in 7 hours!!

So Im assuming that ur second pregnancy is usually faster than the first!!

If thats the case Im scared to have my second child because I will prolly deliver in the car!!!

Good Luck With Everything!

Well, we all know that dates can got 2 wks either way. My first was days early, my second was a week late and so was my third. But the labor for my second was easier than my first. The third, I had to be induced, but I ended up having an emergency csection.... Every delivery is different. I sounds like your little daughter is ready to make an entrance into the world really soon.
Good luck.

Everyone is different
My first was 4 weeks early and delivery was quick
My second was induced 2 weeks early for he was not moving very much, inducing him it was about 5 hours later that he was born.
My third was rite on time but I was having contraction for 2 1/2 days they were about 10 minutes apart and I was not dialing.

A friend of mine had her first on time and the second one a week late.

Another friend of mine had all three of hers were within a couple of days of her due date.

Another friend was over due and the induced her on Monday and it did not work so she had to go back the next and then her son was born later on that day.

So weather it be your first or your 10th, your baby is going to be born when they are ready.

Good luck to you and your soon to arrive little bundle of joy.

Each an every preg is as different as the baby you have. You can't compare any of them.

With my first one I went 2 wks over. Was induced at 6am on a monday morning and she wasnt' born until 9:39pm after I decided on a c-sect. I never dialated and my water didnt' break until they moved me to go into surgery. I figured 13.5 hrs of labor was more than enough for a "trial" LOL. When I got preg again 2nd daughter was born 13 months to the day of the first. I was given the option of a scheduled c-sect or go for the vbac. I decided on the scheduled c-sect. If I went for the vbac I would have had to go through another trial and risk going over due again and I wasnt' going to do that. So I showed up to the hospital on a friday at 10am and went in to have the c-sec and she was born at 12.37pm.

Every pregnancy is different. I also went into early labor with my 1st and had to have it stopped and then he wound up being 10 days overdue. With my second, she was born two days before her due date. As far as the duration of labor, my 1st one was 19 1/2 hours and the second one was 16 1/2 hours.

My first was one week early (from his due date). Labor was 22-23 hours long, and he was born at 8lb 7oz and 22 1/2 inches long. My second, I was at 34 weeks, went for a casual drive with my hubby and 2 year old....walking through the doorway when we got home, holding my son's hand...and gush. My water broke. They delivered him 19 hours later, at 6 pounds 11oz and 19 inches. They thought my dates were off because of the size of my big guy...but he spent 3 weeks in the NICU and because of his development, they finally believed me about my dates. So yeah, my second came earlier...but for no reason (nobody could figure out why) and I know it's not a standard rule of thumb. Best wishes! :)

Some women do notice that they have their second/third/fourth and so on children earlier than the first...every pregnancy is different though so you might want to check with your OB/GYN to see if you are going to be going into labor soon, it could also be braxton hicks...I know that they present around 35 - 38 weeks in most women, so you might be in the beginning stages of that.

Lots of things to take into consideration but please do ask your OB/GYN just to be on the safe side.

I was also induced with my first. had my labor stopped with this one (i am 37wks) and have had the pressure for a week now. It most likely means the baby has dropped.I have been thinking I will go early for weeks now but nothing.

yes it is common for a woman to go into and through labor faster for subsequent pregnancies. Your body remembers the process and there for is more willing to get it done.
