I keep seeing FREE (*) offers. There is always a catch or you have to subscribe to a second offer. Is there anything really FREE offered on the Internet ... that is actually worth something -and why are there so many scams. Is the general public that naive and vulnerable.

you are right 90% of the free message are scams

but there are good ones which is absolutely free

like free and open source software's

for egg: notepad++ which is an excellent replacement for notepad in windows

and there is free anti virus programmes like avast which has good protection without spending a penny

dere r so many ppl realy believing in easy/free money and are too desperate to think logically in the face of all lure put up by dese scammers, dats why so many scams are dere..nd till now i havent seen a single legit "free" scheme!

sometyhing is only free if they pay the shipping and handling. they quite often add the actuall price in the s&h to fool you into thinking it's free. this is usually easy to figure out when the s&h is $33 for a mouse pad.

they are mostly scams, you will get infected like spy ware or sometimes viruses, besides they always want you to pay the shipping and handling

Don't click on them...they are full of spyware and are usually fraudulent anyway. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
