Why do so many people people want what they don't have?

Well, wouldn't life be reaaaally boring if we wanted only what we already have :-) ...I mean, we would never learn anything (we would only want the knowledge we already have) ...we would never see any new places (we would only want to see the places we've already seen) we would not eat new food (we would only want the food we have) we would not meet new people (we would only want to know the friends that we have) ..the wanting of things that we have (physical objects, knowledge, friendships etc) stems from the human brain's need to find change to keep it interested. You can not have all the good things about the way our brain operates (the generation of new ideas, the visiting new places, etc) without getting also the bad things (the constant want for more new possessions. That's the way it goes ...there ain't such a thing as a free lunch, I'm afraid.

The Grass is always greener, they say. I guess in a small way its a good thing, cuz it keeps you motivated...keeps you trying to achieve new things...overcome new feats, you know? Personally, i know there´ll always be things i wanna do that i might not ever actually be able to do n stuff, but i truely cherish and am grateful for all the people and things i have in my life. As cheesy as it sounds. :)
