toothpaste. not kidding. relieves the itch like that. *snaps fingers* I'm even allergic to mosquito bites and i don't feel it after i put some on. and it keeps me from scratching so it doesn't swell to the size of a fist.
if it's a painful bite, then some bacitracin and a band-aid should do it.

If it is itchy, run it under cold water for a minute or until the itch goes away. This will reduce the swelling that actually makes a bug bite look like a bug bite. If you can aviod scratching it for the next few minutes, it will disappear without you noticing.

One of the quickest/easiest ways to deal with a stinging/itchy insect bite is to rub it with deodorant. Seriously. It will help almost immediately.
Good luck!

One drop of lavender essential oil and one drop of tea tree essential oil applied topically to the bite. Dilute with a few drops of natural cooking oil if you have sensitive skin.
These oils used in combination are anti-infectious, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-inflamatory, antiseptic, and analgesic.

A paste of baking soda or you can try meat tenderizer in liquid form. the meat tenderizer brakes down the protein that is the source of the irritation.
