I'm 5 4', and about 53 kilos. I find that when I work out for at least 20 minutes, eat almost whatever I want moderately, and sleep for atleast 10 hours, I wake up in the morning considerably thinner. Now that school's started up again, I'm hardly getting 6 hours of sleep and finding it much harder to lose weight...what's the deal? Plus, why is it that I can gain around 3 kilos just by overeating in one meal? I find myself fatter in the night than I was when i woke up. How do I control this?

absolutely! I've heard from numerous reliable (medical) sources that a good night's sleep is very essential to losing and/or maintaining weight; that, in fact, poor sleep habits or lack of enough sleep each night helps contribute to obesity.

Hello! They did a study not to long ago, and found that if people got 8 hours a sleep at night that they tended to lose more weight then say people who got 5-7 hours of sleep. I think it has something to do with your metabolism at that time of night. It is also not recommended to eat anything I think an hour before you go to bed. You can do a yahoo search on weight loss studies and see what you come up with. Good luck!

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. its not that you are thinner, is just that your body has had enough time to digest. so your stomach is empty. If Im not wrong when you wake up in the morning you feel hungry almost immediately.
But believe it or not the best time to go to bed when you are trying to loose weight is before 10:30. your body recovers faster and store enough energy for next day.

Yes. Definely. When you are tired due to lack of rest, you are more likely to eat more unconsciously.
If you want to be slim, eat plenty of water and go to bed no later than 11.
