It is possible to produce diamonds. Diamonds are basically pure carbon bonded in a complicated fashion, and carbon can be made to bond this way artificially. They are, chemically, exactly the same as real diamonds, so I see no reason why they wouldnt just be called diamonds, or at least synthetic.

technically you can create a man made diamond. a new way is to cremate a body to such an extent that the carbon forms such strong bonds that it creates a diamond. obviously the size is small, and it has a slight yellwow appearance. but it is classed as a man made diamond. a cubic zirconia is the next closest.

Synthetic diamond. It is done under extreme pressure and heat. It possesses all the characteristics as natural diamonds. Unfortunately, the quality of synthetic diamonds are substantially below jewllery grade and are used primarily in industrial applications such as grinding, polishing etc. Other stuff like Zircon are not diamond and they are totally different in properties.

No diamond is man made!! The man made ones vary in names because of marketing. The most common ones are the Cubic Zirconia and Diamonique.

A relative - cremation ashes are now compressed into a diamond and set into a ring. Just do it to someone you liked; no point in keeping an old whinger around any longer than necessary.

cubic zirconia, but it's not a real diamond. Man cannot make a diamond, that comes from ages of compressing coal
