I agree. I also think we should get rid of all the old people in the nursing homes, they're going to die anyway and they're just taking up space. Then we can continue with the chronically homeless, orphanages and asylums. That would clear up a lot of unwanted, unproductive people just taking up space.

It is not our place to choose life or death for another, but Gods. How would you feel if you killed your child and 3 months later they found a cure, or a replacement organ, or something of that nature. The Lord is good and performs miracles everyday. Your mind set reminds me of Romeo and Juliet. Oh! If they had waited a few more moments! The preist letters would have arrived. Romeo would have know the scheme for their freedom! He would not have drank the poison! And Juliet....she would not have taken her own life in uneeded greif!
It is sound advice to wait on the Lord and see how your Destiny unfolds. If we take such things into our own hands....disaster often strikes.
I am not saying there will not be tears. But sometimes the right thing isnt always the easy thing.

They are kept alive by selfish family members and the belief that assisted suicide is morally wrong...goes back to religious beliefs...if you kill yourself it's a sin against god and you go to hell. I personally would not want to be kept on life support, but the only way to make sure that happens is to create a will with that clause and have it notorized by witnesses and stamped by your local government
"Waiting for God" meanwhile your grandparents live in excruciating pain cannot fully enjoy their lives...and on pain killers it is no different..take a tylenol w/codeine and see how energized and ready for anything you become...
and children or people in a coma are racking up enormous hospital debt for their families who even with insurance, surely cannot cover the cost of housing a loved one in the hospital for 1, 3, 5, 10 years...pull the plug or wait till some doctor or god decides to come up with a miracle or cure...pull the plug...I want to end this misery and imprisonment

most of the time its because the members of the family the people considered in charge of that persons life wont let go of that person so they insist on keeping them on life support in hopes for a cure or that they will wake up one day and be the same person they were. I agree with you, no one should be made to suffer especially those who even if they woke up would be in a vegative state. I think you should think about what that person would want you to do and not what you want. Its their life. I know that sounds harsh but I dont think I would want to be kept alive if I wouldnt be able to really live my life fully like it was before I was put on life support. Its different if they had more of a chance of full recovery. But its just not fair to go against their wishes and put them on life support if thats not what they wanted... If I ever go through this I would want them to pull the plug on me

I agree with you, however who can rate suffering? If it was allowed, some people would take advantage of it and kill people who weren't suffering "too much" I know someone who had cancer (like Terry Fox) and had he been givin the option he would have died after his surgery because of the pain, but now he is fine.

No animal was meant to live forever, including humans. Christianity has created more mental problems over this issue than just about anything else. The medical industry capitalizes on it.
When it is your time to go...just go...
