Anyone Flown First\Business Class on Continental Airlines? How was it? Details?

I haven't Flown First Class on Continental before, bu I have flown Lufthansa and Japan air. They are so different... but I am flying my mother out First Class Continental next week. Sacrament to Houston. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they liked the seats\service\food\features\treatment..etc.

They will be serving her breakfast btw...

It's a direct flight, I wouldn't dare subject her to a plane change in some strange airport. it's only a 3 hr 41 min. flight but why not make it as nice as I can. So all in all, will she notice a considerable difference between the coach way she flew out to the first class way she is flying back?

To answer: I already purchased the ticket, etc, picked her a window seat with no one next to her.

You must really love your mother and only want the best for her. That is wonderful. Becasue my first reaction was going to be "anything's better than frlying on some "noname" plane for hours and hours to go overseas!!!!

I do believe Continental is one of the better airlines though.

I like Continental although I don't get to fly them very often. First Class is always better because of the bigger seats. Bonus if Mom has trouble walking so she doesn't have to squeeze down the isle to the back of the plane. Also gets to board first before the overhead storage is full.

All that said. I'd go for a direct flight as the priority vs. first class. My mom hates to change planes at a strange airport. Continental does offer direct flights Sacramento to Houston.

First class seats are pretty big, and comfortable. Continental had really great food - I flew First Class from Sacramento to Omaha. It was very decent. I feel safer on Continental than a major airline too.

first class has biggy seats( two on each side vs. one) um thats not much of a flight so they'll probably just have snacks but they do have inflight movies, and multiple radio stations. overall rating is 4 out of 5
