they should not hurt you, if they do there's something wrong. i.e. your using the wrong size, putting it in incorrectly. you should read the pamphlet in the box for how long it is safe to use it all boxes have the pamplet in it with instructions and directions

I don't like them at all, as they hurt as soon as I put them in. I know that Tampax shouldn't be kept in any longer than 6 - 8 hours.

I couldn't stand to walk around with something up in me,Pads for me.But i guess you go by the directions on the pack?

they start to hurt when they get dry and stuck to the "walls" so it varies
