What are the fundemental differences between the IRA in Ireland and the Basque Movement ETA?

We know that ETA and the IRA are the last remaining nationalist paramilitaries in modern europe, and now that they have both declared ceasefires, it is possible that we will see the end of violence in Europe. But to what extent did the two organizations influence each other, and in what ways are they different to each other?
